Income Protection

This policy could suit you if you don’t receive a regular income from your main job when you’re unable to work, you want cover for accidental injury and illness, and want financial support that could last for up to five years.

Accident Cover

This policy might be right for you if you want a regular benefit paid for the first three months after an accident and are more concerned about accidental injury than illness. It could also suit you if prefer a lump sum while recovering from a bone fracture or a hospital stay, want life cover to support your family, and don’t want to answer medical questions.

You will receive up to 70% of your monthly income up to a maximum of £6,000. You will also be entitled to additional cover if selected on Income Protection (included as standard on Accident Cover). This will cover you up to £4,000 per broken bone.

Income Protection covers illness and accidents, including accidents suffered through playing sports. Accident Cover provides the same coverage without illness. A full list of sports can be found here (add link to the hazardous pursuits doc)

In addition, you will receive a 24 hours private GP service for you and your family, rehabilitation costs and more.

Income Protection lets you select a waiting period, this starts from 30 days and goes up to 365 days. Accident Cover pays after 7 days.
